Blocsport, the sports blockchain pioneer, gets audited by Smart State

Blocsport, as the name suggests, aims to bring blockchain to sports and make it truly democratic, transparent and participative for all stakeholders.

Blocsport offers solutions for clubs, players and sports fans including NFT collectibles portal, smart sports money on blockchain, sports DeFi, player IDs & scouting, and crypto transfers & assets tokenization.

Smart State audited Blocsport platform’s smart contracts

Blocsport partnered with Smart State to utilize our expertise in auditing their entire platform. We performed a comprehensive security audit of the Blocsport ecosystem to look for issues and vulnerabilities, in an effort to plug gaps and make the ecosystem robust and functioning smoothly.

Smart State assessed the working of the entire platform and after careful understanding of all the features and functionalities, set about auditing the smart contracts controlling their platform.

Our job was to ensure three things -

• To observe that best code practices were followed,
• To ensure correct compliances were maintained, and
• To find issues that may cause harm to the platform.

Compliances play a major role in a blockchain platform’s success. Due to the requirements of different blockchain protocols, the development team has to ensure that they follow the protocol compliance (ERC20/BEP20, or any other).

The other major factor is to check for bugs that may hamper the functioning of a feature or service and the presence of malicious code, data leaks, redundant code, or other vulnerabilities that may pose a security threat to the platform.

While no security threat was observed, we did find a few issues that we communicated with the Blocsport team. After detailed discussions on how the code may work differently and pose some challenges, the development team at Blocsport edited the code according to our recommendations and the issues were fixed.
